At a glance

The short version.

01

Challenge

Paper-heavy supervision made it slow to understand outreach performance and decide where follow-up was needed.

02

My contribution

I researched work in the field and designed a mobile decision-support concept around recurring supervisory tasks.

03

Outcome

A tested workflow grounded in 8 ASVs and 2 DSVs across Kasur and Multan, built for bilingual, low-resource use.

01 / The starting point

Understanding the problem.

Assistant Supervisor Vaccinators needed faster ways to monitor field performance, review cluster records, message vaccinators, and understand outreach gaps without relying on slow paper-based supervision systems.

The experience I designed for
  1. Review an area

    See performance and outreach gaps.

  2. Inspect a cluster

    Check records and vaccination status.

  3. Plan follow-up

Contact staff or arrange a visit.

02 / Fieldwork

Start by understanding work in the field.

I used questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, audio transcription, and field observation to understand daily tasks, working conditions, technology use, and the structure of immunization supervision in Punjab.

03 / Workflow

Turn area performance into next actions.

The concept organized repeated jobs: review an area's performance, inspect a cluster, check child vaccination status, and decide whether to contact or follow up with staff.Location breakdowns and offline-data visibility helped the system reflect field constraints.

04 / Design principle

Make gaps visible without adding burden.

Large touch targets, repeated interaction patterns, bilingual content, and clear performance states were designed for quick use.The app translates supervision data into practical follow-up rather than another report to maintain.
