At a glance

The short version.

01

Challenge

Customization, product pairing, subscription status, and cancellation each introduced moments of friction in high-intent customer journeys.

02

My contribution

I redesigned customization and pairing, designed new account-status and recovery flows, and structured the work for English and Quebec French.

03

Outcome

More connected meal decisions, clearer subscription controls, and reusable patterns that balance customer intent with business needs.

01 / The starting point

Understanding the problem.

My work at Fresh Prep spans more than the two features shared here. This case study focuses on two representative problems: reconnecting a fragmented meal-customization journey, and designing subscription status and cancellation recovery around both customer intent and business needs.

01

Make account status explicit

Customers first understand whether the plan is active or paused—and what each state changes.

What the work demonstrates

The decisions behind the details.

What I focused on across meal customization and subscriptions.

Feature 01 · Customization

One continuous meal decision

01

Connect related choices

Customization and pairings share one focused drawer, keeping the meal as the anchor for every decision.

02

Remember where the customer started

The journey can begin from a product card or detail view and returns the customer to that same context.

03

Show what changed

Add becomes Customize and the selected pairings remain visible, confirming the outcome without another interruption.

Feature 02 · Subscription

Clear choices about subscriptions

01

Name every account state

Active, timed pause, indefinite pause, and cancellation each communicate what is happening and what comes next.

02

Keep cancellation easy to find

Relevant value and alternatives appear before cancellation while the path to leave remains explicit.

03

Arrange bag pickup

Reusable-bag pickup is handled as part of cancellation, connecting the interface decision to offline operations.
